KEY POINTS

  • Member of the Ordre des agronomes du Québec (OAQ)

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license

  • Available for frequent travel to client sites and events across the province

Physical Environment:

  • Office and computer-based work

  • Ability to walk long distances during on-farm visits or field trials

Schedule:

  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with overtime during peak season

OVERVIEW

YOUR FUTURE CHALLENGES

Reporting to the Seed Director and working closely with the sales representatives, the Corn-Soybean Expert contributes to sales planning and strategy. This person plays a crucial liaison role between suppliers and clients.


MORE SPECIFICALLY, YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Participate in budgeting and annual sales projections

  • Collaborate in developing sales strategies and programs with suppliers and the Seed Director to ensure growth in all product categories

  • Act as an agronomic and commercial resource for Sales Representatives and Agents through the development and delivery of training, technical bulletins, and content updates

  • Provide agronomic and commercial support to junior representatives

  • Manage customer complaints when needed

  • Coordinate seed production for Synagri’s Identity Preserved (IP) soybeans

  • Monitor and analyze sales trends and coordinate changes with supplier allocations in collaboration with the company’s procurement department

  • Work closely with research centers to acquire high-level genetics

  • Build and maintain strong business relationships with various suppliers

  • Attend advanced training sessions and represent Synagri as an agronomic expert at international events

  • Establish and coordinate field trials with select suppliers

  • Perform other related duties as required


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy and is a member of the Ordre des agronomes du Québec (OAQ)

  • Has a minimum of 5 years of experience in crop production, especially in corn and soybean

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using digital tools

  • Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written, to interact with English-speaking clients

  • Holds a valid Class 5 driver’s license

  • Experience in creating and delivering agronomic content is a strong asset

  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills

  • Demonstrates rigor, analytical thinking, synthesis, and the ability to simplify complex information

  • Possesses strong negotiation skills and is solutions-oriented

  • Capable of managing priorities while remaining attentive and available
