OVERVIEW

Under the direction of the foreman, the incumbent ensures the proper functioning of production equipment.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical and pneumatic equipment.
  • Weld with a semi-automatic welder and perform plasma cutting.
  • Carry out agricultural mechanics.
  • Anticipate and make purchase requests for parts.
  • Respond to emergency calls for equipment breakdowns.
  • Assist in preparing cost estimates, required materials, and work schedules.
  • Occasionally help with production during peak seasons.

HARD SKILLS

  • Education in mechanics or equivalent
  • 2 years of experience in maintenance mechanics
  • Experience with welding (MIG-TIG)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Good physical condition
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license

SOFT SKILLS

  • Versatility, resourcefulness, and autonomy
  • Ability to communicate and work as part of a team
  • Manual dexterity
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Sense of responsibility
