Job Description

KEY POINTS

Required qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy or professional/technical training in Agriculture; at least 5 years of field experience with agricultural clients; valid Class 5 driver’s license.

Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with overtime as needed during peak season.

Territory: This position covers the St-Grégoire and St-Isidore areas on the South Shore of Montreal.

Work environment: Lifting and moving boxes up to 25 kg; mostly seated but with frequent travel to client sites; exposure to road conditions (approximately 20,000 km per year); work with pesticides and regulated products.

YOUR FUTURE CHALLENGES

Under the authority of the regional sales director, the primary mission of this position is to support clients and account managers by providing technical assistance, agronomic recommendations, precision agriculture, and specialized services.

MORE SPECIFICALLY, YOUR MAIN CHALLENGES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Support account managers and clients.

  • Participate in weekly meetings.

  • Organize and coordinate producer days.

  • Participate in basic and ongoing training, as well as company events.

  • Update electronic field notebooks.

  • Perform post-sale agronomic follow-ups.

  • Follow up on correction plans.

  • Manage product applications in the field (aerial and ground).

  • Calibrate client equipment (seeders, sprayers, etc.).

  • Provide agronomic recommendations (seeds, crop protection/health products, and fertilizers).

  • Develop crop protection plans.

  • Conduct field visits and scouting (population, survival, application stages, etc.).

  • Prepare crop programs.

  • If an agronomist: perform agronomic monitoring.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy or a DEC in Agricultural Technology.

  • Has at least 5 years of relevant field experience with clients, including experience providing agronomic recommendations in Quebec.

  • Available for frequent travel within the assigned territory.

  • Holds a valid Class 5 driver’s license.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.
